Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, two labourers died after coming in contact with a live wire at Santoshi Vihar area under Laxmi Sagar police limits of the city on Sunday.
Sources said that a group of labourers were working in an under construction building in the Santoshi Vihar area. However, two of them came in contact with an 11 KV live wire which was close to the building. Both of them died on the spot. Their identities are yet to be known.
The Laxmi Sagar police rushed to the spot after getting information and seized the bodies and sent them to the Capital Hospital for postmortem. Police are questioning the builder along with other workers to know more about the incident.
“Investigation into the incident is underway. The bodies have been sent for autopsy. Efforts are on to know their whereabouts. The bodies will be handed over to their family members after conducting postmortem,” said a source at the police station.
