Bhawanipatna: At least two business men were killed after a car they were traveling by plunged off a bridge on NH-26 near Kansbahal in Kalahandi district last night.
The deceased bizmen have been identified as Sanjay Aggarwal and Dinesh Jain of Kesinga area.
The mishap took place while the duo was returning to Kesinga from Sundergarh in a Hyundai i10 car after completing some work late in the night. On the highway while crossing the bridge one of the deceased who was driving the car lost control over its wheels and ended up hitting an under-construction road protection wall. As the vehicle fell off a height of around 20 feet following the mishap and got badly mangled, the duo boarding it sustained critical injury.
Although Dinesh called up his family from his mobile phone and informed about the incident, the latter failed to trace him in the night.
Bodies of the deceased duo were recovered from the car early in the morning today by some locals.
Police have rushed the body for autopsy and seized the mangled car.
