Bhadrak: At least two youths were killed after the bike they were riding on was hit by an unknown vehicle at Dilo Square on Bhadrak-Aradi Road near Bhandaripokhari area in the district last night.
The identification of the deceased duo could not have been made so far.
The deceased duo was heading to Bhadrak during the heavy rain and gusty wind which lashed the district late in the night when the mishap took place. It is suspected that their bike bearing registration number OR N 7811 was struck from the front by another unidentified vehicle as its driver failed to detect them due to bad weather. The duo got gruesomely defaced in the crash and died on the spot.
Dhusuri Police reached the accident site this morning and rushed the bodies for autopsy to Bhadrak DHH.
An investigation is underway in the case and the police are trying to trace the unidentified vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
