2 Bhubaneswar missing kids rescued from Bhadrak after 10 days

Bhubaneswar: The two minor children, who went missing from Chirgottola slum of Infocity area near KIIT Stadium on June 16, were rescued from Bhadrak today.

The kids identified as Raja (10) and Debjani (6) were reportedly rescued by the members of Bhadrak Childline from a train while they were on their way to their uncle’s house.

According to reports, based on the complaint filed by Debjani’s father, Commissionerate of Police had started an investigation into the matter. It had circulated photos of the kids and pasted missing posters at many public places across the city. Besides, it had announced Rs 2500 cash award for anyone who would provide information regarding the children.

Meanwhile, a team of Commissionerate of Police has gone to get the children from Bhadrak. Police are also investigating to ascertain how and why the kids left their house and reached Bhadrak.

The incident had left the city police on its toe as incidents of alleged child theft was on rise across the state.
