First bike themed cafe in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: One step into the Big Bike Hub Café, and the first thing that catches the eye is the large pool table and a guitar lying by its side. Further into the spacious room, there is a book section with coffee table books and magazines and a few board games like Monopoly. For the gamers, there is PS 4 with some latest collection of sports games and a large screen for enjoying sports matches.

Odisha’s first ever bike-themed café, ‘The Big Bike Hub,’ is the latest addition to the series of themed cafes that have mushroomed in the city.

Started by filmmaker Anupam Patnaik, a bike-enthusiast, the café situated inside a super bike showroom in Patia, has already started drawing the young in the city.

“My friends and I have a group called Bhubaneswar Super Bikers club. In addition, there are four-five other biking groups in the city. I wanted to start a common hang out point for bikers. But once the cafe started, I thought it shouldn’t be limited to one group and should rather be a place for all creative minds,” says Anupam.

The Biker’s menu of the café has a variety of mouth-watering snacks with burgers, hotdogs and sandwiches topping the speciality list. The café also offers short film screenings, stand-up comedy evenings and live music performances for the foodies to enjoy as they soothe their taste buds.

“Our café is different as we have kept it very simple with no fancy stuffs. It caters to all age groups and people can throng in and enjoy their food as they play games together. The musical nights and other creative projects keep the ambience lively,” Patnaik says.

The café is open all seven days of the week.
