Producers of ‘Bharat’ miffed with Priyanka’s sudden exit from the film

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra’s sudden exit from ‘Bharat’ hasn’t gone down too well with the producers of the film. As per reports, PeeCee’s decision to leave the film just a month before her schedule has irked the producers, who are in a fix and now looking a suitable replacement.

Speaking to a daily, producer Nikhil Namit said Priyanka told them that she is leaving ‘Bharat’ due to her engagement, two days ago and so he felt that it was a little unprofessional of her to do it so suddenly. It has been reported that ‘Bharat’ makers are now considering Jacqueline Fernandez or Katrina Kaif as a replacement for Priyanka in the movie.

There were also reports that the real reason why Priyanka decided to leave ‘Bharat’ was the length of the role. Apparently, it was reported that PC wasn’t too happy after learning that her role in the movie has been been cut short, making it very insignificant compared to Salman’s role.

However rubbishing such rumours, producer Nikhil Namit clarified that there is no truth in Priyanka walking out of the film due to the length of her role. He revealed that no look or screen test was done for Priyanka, which was scheduled to take place in August. He concluded by saying that Priyanka decided to walk out of the project due to personal reasons and that they totally respect her decision.

Soon after PC’s exit, twitteratis became curious to know as to who would replace her in the movie. Following this, director Ali Abbas Zafar took to twitter and wrote-

Yes yes yes … we will announce the leading lady of Bharat soon.. We have been shooting Non stop and the simultaneously preparing for international schedules ….

Slated for an Eid 2019 release, ‘Bharat’ stars Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles apart from Salman Khan.
