Mumbai: After Priyanka Chopra’s abrupt exit from Salman Khan starrer ‘Bharat’, the makers have finalised Katrina Kaif to play PeeCee’s part in the movie. Interestingly, both Katrina and Salman were last seen in the Ali Abbas Zafar’s chartbuster movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ which released in December 2017. ‘Bharat’ marks the third association of Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan with director Ali Abbas Zafar who has earlier directed them in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar expressed his heartfelt joy on having Katrina on-board ‘Bharat’. He revealed that he is extremely excited to work with Katrina Kaif in Bharat. The director further emphasised on their exciting collaborations in the past and stated that he is looking forward to work with Salman and Katrina again.
Katrina will be playing Salman’s love interest in Bharat. Her schedule will start in September when she will join the rest of the starcast for the shoot. ‘Bharat’ went on floor in June this year. The first look of the movie is out and according to reports, Salman will feature in five different looks spanning across a time-frame of 60 years. Apparently, he will also be recreating his look from Karan-Arjun.
Besides Salman Khan, ‘Bharat’ also stars Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi and will be extensively shot in Delhi, Punjab, Malta and Abu Dhabi. The movie is slated to release in Eid 2019.
