Mumbai: Ahead of its release, Akshay Kumar’s “Gold” got a special emoji on Twitter on Friday.
According to reports, the social media site announced a special medal emoji that will appear once typed with different hashtags like #AskAkshay #GoldMovie #FeelingofGold soon after the ‘Holiday’ actor had an interactive session with his fans on Twitter.
The specials emoji will be active till August 16.
However, ‘Gold’ is not the first Bollywood movie to get the special medal emoticon on Twitter. “Kaala”, “Mersal”, “Tubelight”, “Befikre”, “Bigg Boss 10”, “Koffee With Karan”, “IIFA 2018” and “Filmfare Awards” had also earlier awarded with special emojis.
“Gold”, directed by Reema Kagti, will release this Independence Day, which also marks the occasion of the 70th anniversary of free India’s first gold medal at the 1948 Olympics.
Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Sunny Kaushal, Vineet Kumar Singh and Mouni Roy are the other actors will be seen in the historical sports drama.
