Bhubaneswar: KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIIT TBI) under KIIT University, in partnership with 99 LEAP, organized a Hackathon and Startup Pitch under the aegis of their Social Incubation Program – INVENT, a joint initiative of DFID – UK & TDB – DST supported by Villgro, in Ranchi.
More than 70 enterprising participants joined the programme, named Sociovation 2.0, which sought to identify solutions to problems through intense brainstorming (hackathon) and discover social impact ideas with sustainable model through startup pitches.
The Director of IT, Government of Jharkhand, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The jury comprising eminent academicians from XLRI, IIM Ranchi along with Angel Investors heard the pitches. Winners of the start-up pitch were awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.
Representatives from different industry bodies, Government Departments, important leaders of Jharkhand, early stage entrepreneurs, academicians and policy framers were seen mingling with the participants.
KIIT TBI’s formal entry in Jharkhand envisages a commitment to provide a strong eco-system for those impact ideas realizing into value proposition through its different incubation programs.
