Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of its Foundation Day, CSIR – Institute of Minerals and Resources (IMR) is holding the Platinum Jubilee Science Exhibition for science enthusiasts in the City. The three-day exhibition will feature live research-based demonstrations and lectures by the top minds in the scientific fraternity in the country.
The exhibition, which showcases the research work done by CSIR research in 14 areas, is expected to benefit students, farmers and entrepreneurs.
Inaugurating the event, Prafulla Samal, MSME Minister said that technological advancement can go a long way in helping the micro and small industries. Urging the scientific, technical, administrative community and all the related agencies to work in collaboration, he hoped for a creation of a system which will be helpful in increasing economic opportunities as well as creating jobs.
The scientists of IMMT’s Mineral Processing Group, who were conferred the CSIR Technology Award this year by the President, were also felicitated at the event.
