Kandhamal: A woman turned critical after being stabbed brutally by her husband over a petty issue in Bagarama village under Takabali Tehsil in the district, today.
The injured woman has been identified as Anima Pradhan.
The victim invited the wrath of her husband Bhaskar by preventing him from consuming liquor, this morning. A heated argument erupted between the couple and in a fit of rage Bhaskar attacked and stabbed the victim for several times with a knife.
A critically injured Anima was first rushed to Phulbani District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and then shifted to MKCG Medical in Berhampur.
G Udaygiri Police have arrested the accused husband and started an investigation into the incident.
