Sundargarh: Vigilance officials raided houses of Ramesh Patel, senior clerk in the Sundargarh Government Women’s College, this morning.
Acting on allegation of Patel amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income, vigilance sleuths conducted simultaneous raids at his residence at Nuapada, ancestral house at Kudabega and in-laws’ house at Jharakani in the district.
Three Vigilance teams conducted the raids following issuance of a search warrant by Sundargarh Special Vigilance Judge.
While the exact amount of disproportionate assets recovered during the raid has not been revealed by the anti-corruption sleuths yet, sources claim that cash, gold jewellery and luxury cars were among the items seized.
