Keonjhar: A lady school teacher was killed after slipping off a Scooty at Singabila Square under Harichandanpur block in the district this afternoon.
The deceased teacher has been identified as Manasmita Behera.
Behera who worked in the Badasiadimala UGME School, was returning home from duty riding pillion with a relative on the Scooty when a bicycle suddenly came in front of them. As both the riders lost balance and fell off Scooty, Behera susatained injuries on her head in the accident.
The injured teacher was first taken to Harichandanpur Community Health Centre (CHC). She died while being shifted to SCB Medical in Cuttack in a critical condition.
