Malkangiri: Road connectivity was disrupted at different places of Malkangiri district due to the incessant rains during the last 24 hours.
Road communication on the Malkangiri-Korkunda and Malkangiri- Balimela routes was disrupted the most as the water level in rivers like Saberi, Pateru and Sileru has increased.
Hundreds of people remained stranded on both sides of the road as the rain water submerged the road. Water was seen flowing 4-5 feet above the Tarlakota bridge.
The incessant rain has created a flood like situation in the district submerging hundreds of acres of agricultural land.
