Newly appointed Indian envoy calls on Nepal PM
Kathmandu, Mar, 30: Manjeev Sing Puri, the newly appointed Ambassador of India to Nepal, called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal here on Thursday.
Puri met the Prime Minister at his official Baluwatar residence and held talks on issues pertaining Indo-Nepal relations.
During the meeting Dahal wished the ambassador a successful tenure, the Prime Minister’s secretariat said in a statement.
Puri also expressed his happiness over coming to Nepal and promised to play a pivotal role in improving relationship between the two countries on the basis of mutual understanding.
Puri has succeeded Ranjit Rae as India’s 24th Ambassador to Nepal. He arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday.
