Surjya Patro, Raja Swain may get Nod in Ministry Reshuffle
While the stage is set for the much-awaited Ministry reshuffle to be held tomorrow at Raj Bhavan with the resignation of at least 10 Ministers from Naveen Patnaik’s Cabinet, the political circle is abuzz with the names of probables who will join the Ministry.
Seasoned politician, BJD Vice President and former Revenue and I&PR Minister Surjya Narayan Patro is leading the race. Keeping the urban body polls in mind, he could be Naveen’s choice to get the Housing & Urban Development portfolio.
Another BJD stalwart Ranendra Pratap Swain alias Raja Swain, who struggled hard during the Pyari era, but finally managed to convince Naveen Patnaik of his loyalty of late, may also get the nod, it is believed.
Other senior leaders Amar Prasad Satpathy, Pratap Jena, Prafulla Samal and Magala Kisan are also in the fray. First time MLA Dr. Raseswari Panigrahi, Rohit Pujari, Praveen Bhanjdeo may also be considered. Other leaders Dr. Nrushingha Sahu, Sasibhushan Behera and Padmanav Behera have also emerged as contenders.
