Respite from Heatwave; Mercury declines across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Nor’Wester cobbled up by rains, has brought down the temperature across the State on Sunday. Only 4 Towns recorded above 40 degrees C with Angul being hottest at just 42.1 degrees C.

Hirakud (40.8 degrees C), Sambalpur (40.1 degress C) and Bhawanipatna (40.0 degrees C) were the other towns that recorded high temperature.

Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 39.7 and 39.6 degrees C temperatures respectively. Meanwhile, the State Government has confirmed 12 Sun Stroke deaths across the State. Our of 81 suspected deaths, 28 have been investigated so far. 53 cases are still under investigation.
