Houston (USA): The famous Raja festival of Odisha is being celebrated with gaiety in USA’s Houston City on Wednesday.
Many Odias living there came together to celebrate the three-day-long festival with a lot of fanfare.
On this occasion, kids and women enjoyed the Doli Khela, (swings). They also played ‘Puchi’, the traditional game of adolescent girls.
Later, different traditional Pithas (cakes) like ‘Poda Pitha’, Aarisa, Manda Pitha and Kakara were distributed among the people. This was followed by a lunch with many traditional Odia cuisines.
