Rahul Gandhi meets Congress tribal leaders
New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with tribal leaders from six states is underway at the party’s war room here on Wednesday.
As many as 106 tribal leaders from Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand are meeting Rahul to discuss different issues pertaining to the tribals.
The meeting is slated to draw up strategies to win the trust of the tribal voters, who have begun to veer away from the century old party.
An eleven-member team from Odisha, including former Chief Minister Hemanand Biswal, former Nabarangpur MP Pradeep Majhi, former Union Minister Bhakta Das, former Rajya Sabha MP Sushila Tiriya and Dabugam MLA Bhujbal Majhi, is meeting the Congress scion.
