Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pratap Keshari Deb has denied any involvement in the incident of egg-hurling on Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram at Aul on June 14 as alleged by the saffron party.
Addressing a press meet here on Friday, Deb clarified that he was abroad on that particular day and it was not feasible on his part to communicate with people of his area on that fateful day. He said the incident was an outcome of the utter frustration of the people with the NDA government’s poor governance and false promises by the saffron party during the last general election.
The BJD leader also pointed out that “Sab ka Saath Sab ka Bikash” is not a government programme, but a purely political programme. Moreover, egg-hurling and display of black flags to the Union Minister show that common people of the state are unhappy with Modi Govt, he said.
