Naveen’s meeting with newly elected PRI members of M’bhanj underway

Bhubaneswar, Apr 03: BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s meeting with the newly elected representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) of Mayurbhanj district  is underway here on Monday.

Being alert after the party’s performance in the recent Panchayat polls, Patnaik is meeting the newly elected Zilla Parishad members, Sarpanchs and Samiti Members of the district in person at the party’s headquarters.

Sources said, the Ministers, MPs and MLAs of the district are also taking part in the meeting.

Patnaik had held a meeting with the representatives of Jajpur and Koraput districts yesterday.

The Block representatives had kept their views and opinions in front of the Chief Minister one by one. They gave their opinions on the votes received in the Panchayat polls and how the party can be strengthened.

Later, Patnaik instructed the representatives to pay attention to the problems of general public and try to solve local issues.

The BJD supremo is slated to interact with all the newly elected Panchayat representatives across the state within April 24 to know the ground reality.
