Senior Congress leader and former Delhi Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely has joined the BJP in the presence of party President Amit Shah. The development came as a big boost for BJP just ahead of the MCD polls in Delhi.
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari and other senior party leaders were also present on that occasion. Lovely is a very influential leader, especially among the Punjabi community in Delhi.
Arvinder Singh Lovely was the Minister for Education, Tourism, Languages,Urban Development, Revenue, Transport Gurudwara election & Gurudwara Administration during Sheila Dikshit’s regime.
Not long ago, three-time Congress MLA, Dalit leader, and former Deputy Speaker of the Delhi Assembly, Amrish Gautam, had also joined the BJP.
