Puri, Mar 30: Bus service from Puri to the Twin Cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was halted due to the cease-work stir of Puri district private Bus Owners’ Association here on Thursday.
According to sources, a bus staff of Puri was assaulted at Cuttack bus stand two days ago over an issue of bus halting duration at Puri and Cuttack bus stands. Protesting the incident and demanding security, the association launched the strike today.
The cease-work stir of the protestors has caused inconvenience for many daily commuters including some tourists.
