BJD to remain equidistant from BJP, Congress: Surjya Patro
Bhubaneswar: Rejecting Odisha BJP’s allegations that Naveen Patnaik has a nexus with the Congress High Command through Sam Pitroda, Odisha Food & Civil Supplies Minister Surjya Narayan Patro has claimed that BJD will continue to maintain its equi-distance policy from both BJP and Congress.
Speaking on the Sam Pitroda issue, Surjya Patro said, the former, who was appointed as the Tecnicalh Advisor to Odisha Government, was appointed by the AICC as Chairman of Overseas Indian Congress only yesterday.
“It’s a new development. The Government will review the situation and take a decision soon,” he said.
Earlier, the BJP had sought the resignation of Sam Pitroda as well as the immediate withdrawal of Cabinet rank to him.
