BJP trying to create rift in BJD, one MP helping: Tathagata

Bhubaneswar, Mar 27: Biju Janata Dal’s chief whip in the Lok Sabha Tathagata Satpathy on Monday made a startling revelation alleging that BJP is trying hard to divide BJD in Parliament and in the Assembly.
The Dhenkanal MP also alleged that BJP has sabotaged a MP to materialise its plan for an AIADMK spilt.
In a series of tweets, the BJD veteran also charged that the saffron party wants to take away BJD’s name and symbol.
“They want to take away @bjd_odisha’s party name & symbol. Rumors afloat that only one MP will swing this deal for them. Ha!,” tweeted Satpathy.
He also tweeted, “BJP National Convention scheduled on 15-16 April in Orissa. PM to attend. Intention to put pressure to make state govt defunct.”
The Dhenkanal MP further tweeted “Attempts are being made to hold early polls in Odisha along with Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Odisha may not be considered cowbelt,”
In what could be considered as response to Satpathy’s tweet, Kendrapada BJD MP Baijayanta Panda tweeted, “He speaks w/expertise, having once been suspended from BJD & joined another party. I don’t have such experience, so will defer to his allegation.”
