Bhubaneswar to turn Fortress for PM Modi’s Odisha Visit

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha visit on April 15, for the BJP National Executive meet, the Odisha Police is making elaborate security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, DG KB Singh said that a three-tier security system has been put in place for the Prime Minister’s visit.

While 100 platoons of police force will be deployed, two companies of CRPF will also be roped in for Modi’s two-day visit. In addition, ITBP and CISF personnel will also assist in providing security.

Four Inspector Generals will be deployed in five sectors, informed the DG, while 52 IICs will also be posted at strategic locations.

Prior to the Prime Minister’s arrival, a no-fly zone will be ordered for one hour. Besides, roof top security arrangements will also be put into place.
