KXIP beat Mumbai Indians in a Cliffhanger

The Kings XI Punjab beat mighty Mumbai Indians in a high scoring game last night. Batting first, KXIP had posted a mammoth score of 230/3 in 20 overs. Guptill 36, Wriddhiman Saha 93, Maxwell 47 and Shaun Marsh 25 were the top scorers.

The Mumbai Indians almost won the game, but Mohit Sharma bowled a superb and incredible last over to take KXIP to victory.

Mumbai managed to score 223/6 in 20 overs. Lendl Simmons 59, Parthiv Patel 38, Pollard 50* and Hardik Pandya 30 were the top scorers. Mohit Sharma took two wickets. Wriddhiman Saha was declared ‘Player of the Match’.

Despite the loss, Mumbai Indians continue to be at the top of the points table in IPL 10.
