A team with stalwarts like Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, suffered their worst-ever defeat in IPL, as they bowled out for a paltry 49, chasing a victory target of 132 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
On a difficult wicket, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to post 131 in 19.3 overs. Sunil Narine was the top scorer with 34. Chahal 3/16, Tymal Mills 2/31 and Pawan Negi 2/15 were the top wicket takers for RCB.
Chasing a victory target of 132, RCB bowled out for 49 in 9.4 overs. No batsman could reach double digit, as Kedar Jadhav was the top scorer with 9.
Nathan Coulter-Nile 3/21, Woakes 3/6 and Grandhomme 3/4 played havoc and wrecked the RCB batting line-up. Nathan Coulter-Nile was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for claiming the prized wickets of Kohli, AB de Villiers and Kedar Jadhav.
